About Sarah Ward
Sarah Ward is a sound designer, sound editor and composer for film, television and games. Growing up on an island in Moreton Bay, Sarah spent much of her childhood using her imagination, a creative spark that continues to shape her sound and music work today.
Sarah has worked on many projects with Seeding Time Pictures since 2018, most recently as Sound Designer and Composer on PTSD Love Stories, which aired on ABC’s Compass in May 2021. Her work helped create the film’s emotional and sonic world, bringing sensitivity, restraint and depth to a story that moves between trauma, intimacy, memory and resilience.
Beyond her work with Seeding Time Pictures, Sarah has also worked with SuperTonic on the survival adventure game Windbound for Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Nintendo Switch and Stadia, developed by 5 Lives Studios and published by Deep Silver. Her credits also include sound design for The Great and Grand Rumpus at the State Library of Queensland.
Through her score and sound design for PTSD Love Stories, Sarah created a musical language that supports the film’s central themes without overwhelming the voices of the participants. Her work allows the audience to sit with the quiet spaces of the story: the breath before a difficult truth, the ache of memory, and the fragile hope of healing.
